SOCHI. For the first time, Sochi residents had the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of the master of watercolor painting, one of the leading artists who create their works in this technique of painting art.

The name of Sergey Andriyaka is known to every person for whom the world of painting is interesting. Exhibitions of his works were successfully held in many cities of our country. Now, Sochi residents will be able to see with their own eyes the works created by the founder of the Academy of Watercolors located in the capital.

The exhibition opened on October 4 at the N. Ostrovsky Memorial Museum. The exposition of the exhibition is not only composed of watercolors created by the rector of the Academy, People’s Artist Sergei Andriyaki. Visitors to the exhibition will also be able to get acquainted with the work of his colleagues - artist-educators, who presented their works made in various techniques to participate in the Sochi exhibition.

In the halls of the museum are paintings painted in oil, works made using pastel technique, as well as lithographs and etchings. For a greater variety of art objects available for acquaintance, the exposition was supplemented with small sculptures, ceramics, and stained-glass windows.

In addition to the main part of the exhibition, visitors have access to its educational and methodological part, consisting of two sections. In the first of them you can get acquainted with the work of aspiring artists - students of the School of Watercolor, and the second section contains the works of students of the Academy, students in the 1st year.

The exhibition halls also housed informational texts telling about the educational system at the Academy. There is an opportunity to get acquainted with video materials where master classes conducted by Sergey Andriyaki are demonstrated. You can get acquainted with the exhibition until November 4th.
