Born in the capital, Yuri Makhnev received his professional art education in his native city. The first steps in the profession were made at the Art College. 1905, graduated by Yuri in 1982. Then followed by studies at the Institute. Surikova, whose training was completed in 1990. As a member of the Moscow Union of Artists, as well as a member of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation, Yuri Makhnev actively participates in exhibition projects of various ranks.

Although the artist still lives and works in the capital, the place where he draws inspiration is the small old town of Tarusa, where he spends a lot of time. For residents of provincial cities, the personality of a metropolitan artist is often associated with huge canvases, which depict Moscow landscapes, where the main objects are the famous architectural monuments of the capital.

However, Yury Makhnev is not very interested in the bustle of the metropolis - the main theme of his painting was the landscapes of small Russian towns. The exposition includes picturesque images of the river banks where Tarusa and Pereslavl are located, paintings with a leisurely provincial life imprinted on them. Next to them were the impressions of trips to other countries, portraits and still lifes.

The exhibition is open until the end of October.
