For visitors to the Vyatka Art Museum, who can’t imagine their life without traveling and new experiences, for those who want to see unknown corners of the planet, employees have prepared the exhibition “With a sketchbook around the world”. This exhibition opens an exhibition project dedicated to the display of paintings and graphic works created by artists during travels in all countries.

The works of artists for the exhibition are selected from the museum’s collection. The exposition of the opening exhibition included about sixty works. This is the work of more than thirty domestic authors, among which are the works of famous Russian artists of the 19-20th centuries. Some works have not been exhibited before.

Among the works housed in the exhibition hall, one can see not only paintings painted by artists in workshops, the plots of which arose due to their impressions of travels. Sketches made directly during trips are located next to the finished paintings. They are not only Russian landscapes, but also remote corners of the globe.

The symbol of the exhibition was the painting “Dialogue” placed at the beginning of the exposition, written by Vyatka artist Pyotr Vershigorov. It has only a river bank and a sketchbook. The exhibition exposition is composed of several sections. All the works of artists were arranged according to the parts of the world depicted on them, continents and countries.

In works devoted to Europe, you can see Parisian streets and Italian landscapes. In the section devoted to exotic countries, there are works written in India and Pakistan. Russian artists have always willingly painted Crimean landscapes. Crimea is also devoted to a separate section of the exhibition. All this beauty will be available to museum visitors until October 13th.
