"Space of Light" in the works of the Belgorod artist Margarita Skorbach Automatic translate

BELGOROD. Presentation of the exhibition “Space of Light” took place in the city art museum, in the exposition of which visitors to the museum were presented artworks by Margarita Skorbach. In BHGM, the artist’s personal exhibition is held for the second time.

Margarita’s first solo exhibition was held at the museum under the name “Aqua” in 2009. Then the artist included in the exhibition’s exposition exclusively works made in the watercolor technique. Watercolor has always been one of Margarita Skorbach’s favorite techniques, although professionals consider her one of the most difficult. If an artist has the opportunity to edit the image while working with oil - to change something, to rewrite it, then the watercolorist has no way to change his work.

The new exhibition is markedly different from the previous one not only in the genre composition of the exposition, but also in the style of the works. Obviously, the artist is in search of new directions in her works. Visitors interested in Margarita Skorbach’s work will notice that fewer flower arrangements are present, but portrait images have appeared.

Next to the works made in the technique of transparent watercolor, there are compositions written in dense gouache. The artist, as before, writes fantastic motifs filled with lyrics, as well as landscapes through which Margarita expresses her feelings and mood. The territory of the world, explored by the artist in her works, is her personal creative space, available to its visitors at the time of the exhibition.

Margarita Skorbach participated in exhibition projects in various cities, several personal shows of her works took place in Belgorod.

The current exhibition is open until September 7th.
