Most willingly Dmitry Sennikov depicts scenes from the life of dogs on his canvases. It is not surprising, because the artist is very fond of these close and devoted animals, knows perfectly well their habits. Thanks to the observant and humorous look of the artist on what is happening around him, Dmitry creates works that make the audience smile.

City and village landscapes in the artist’s paintings serve as a backdrop for close-up heroes of his works. The space limited by the size of the canvas allows you to see how harmoniously the four-legged characters of the paintings fit into the human world around them. The character of each of the heroes of the artist’s works is clearly visible.

At the exhibition, Dmitry Sennikov presented about thirty works devoted to animalistic topics. Each of them emphasizes how close the worlds of animals and people are. This is especially noticeable in paintings related to rural life, where, in addition to dogs, other animals are present.

For all the reality displayed by the artist of the world, in each of his works there are elements of fantasy that give a kind of emotional mood, however, at first glance you can see how different the characters of the pets written by the artist are.

When embodying animalistic themes, the author’s handwriting by Dmitry Sennikov is so peculiar that his works are always recognizable among other paintings on the animal kingdom.
