The past and present of the Kaliningrad region at the exhibition "Prussian footprint" Automatic translate
KALININGRAD. Until the end of August, a personal exhibition of paintings by the artist from Latvia Nadezhda Kolesnikova will be open for visitors in the exhibition hall of the regional historical and art museum.
The unique author’s technique inherent in the artist gives her works a complex color structure, and the use of acrylic paints in painting creates a fascinating play of shadow and light in the paintings.
The basis of the exhibition was a series of paintings "Prussian footprint", which gave the name to the whole exhibition. At the opening of the exhibition, Nadezhda Kolesnikova, who personally presented her work, said that the architecture of the Kaliningrad region, consisting of a combination of modern buildings with preserved architectural monuments, does not always combine, often in conflict.
However, just such a combination is a kind of mystical thread that tightly connects the past and present of the Kaliningrad Territory, forcing people to reflect on the inexorably current time, putting everything in its place.
The outstanding talent of the artist and her rich inner world are evidenced by paintings from the cycle "Trees", which are also included in the exhibition Nadezhda Kolesnikova. This series of canvases, reminiscent of the existence of mysterious groves somewhere in space, is striking in its reality.
The images of the world, possibly existing once, in the imagination of the artist are intertwined with pictures of real life. Belonging to a rare type of painters who can not only use rich imagination in their works, Nadezhda Kolesnikova has "inner vision", which makes it possible to reflect the past tense in them, the length of whole eras. In total, the artist brought to the exhibition 25 works made in different years.
