"Songs of the sea"
From April 23 to May 7, 2013 in the Kiev museum-workshop of Ivan Kavaleridze (Andriyivskyy Descent, 21) an exhibition of photographs and paintings by Svetlana Shapiro entitled "Songs of the Sea" will be held. The event is unique because it is the first exhibition in Ukraine dedicated to Portugal.
Traveling to Portugal became a landmark for Kiev resident Svetlana Shapiro - a happy person in family and professional life. Photography and painting have always accompanied her travels, but for the first time Svetlana presents the viewer with her photographs and paintings, filled with love for an interesting, joyful and vibrant country - Portugal.
With love for Portugal, photos have been selected. The exposition will be supplemented by Svetlana Shapiro’s paintings on which are cute fat men and toddlers resting on the coast. Everything is aimed at conveying to the viewer the feeling of a happy stay in the country, sharing the joy of learning new and amazing. You need to live here and now. All the works of the author, which simply shares happiness with the viewer, are permeated with the joy of feeling every moment of a beautiful life!
The most difficult for Svetlana was the selection of photographs from the footage for display at the exhibition. It is impossible to grasp the immensity, so the author stopped at photographs from places that struck her with something special, gave a feeling of the country’s peculiarities.
The exhibition is timed to coincide with the Portuguese public holiday - the Day of the Man of the Sea, which is why you cannot do without the ocean, boats, fishermen. And forget about the Lisbon roofs and fountains - is also impossible. Do not convey the morning smell of coffee and morning baking! All this must be seen and felt. And then, without fail, you will love Portugal with all your heart.
Svetlana is sure that the exhibition can become for someone the very sign from which the embodiment of old wishes will begin its countdown. The author shares his love for Portugal. Life is filled with happiness! Everything will work out.
