The exhibition "Heavy illustration" revived interest in the work of Venedikt Erofeev Automatic translate
Kolomna. Since March 2, a massive interest in the work of the writer Venedikt Erofeev and other authors of the literature of the Soviet underground has revived in Kolomna. Artists Pavel and Anton Yakushev presented the exhibition “Heavy Illumination”, created based on the poem “Moscow-Petushki”.
The exhibition takes place in the cult museum of the city - the residence "Artkommunalka: Erofeev and others" and is a kind of illustration of the poem, revealing its most striking parts. Artists experimented with materials and equipment, trying to recreate the atmosphere of the work.
“Manuscripts do not burn” - this is the statement of M. Bulgakov, as well as possible suits the presented exposition. Artists created paintings literally on metal sheets. Iron and paint, forged images and bizarre characters, hammered texts and a palette of emotions!
The project makes no less impression than Moscow-Petushki, complementing it with the subjectivity of artists, which enlivens book images, making them closer to modern realities. Having visited the exhibition, artists recommend re-reading this famous work of Yerofeyev - and fill it with failure!
