Although connoisseurs of painting are familiar with his works perfectly, after all, quite recently, Vladimir Yelchaninov presented a personal exhibition of paintings dedicated to his anniversary to the audience at the House of Artists. Vladimir Vasilyevich is primarily known for his story paintings that adorn many museum collections. They are also represented in the halls of the Smolensk Gallery.

Born in the Smolensk region, the artist devotes his work to his native land. Numerous landscapes painted by him make it possible to see the beauty of the corners of their small homeland, and portraits introduce interesting people from Smolensk.

Vladimir Yelchaninov is constantly working on his canvases, any of his work, even if it is actually finished, he can prime and start writing it again. Each held exhibition of the artist presents many new works, but for today’s experimental exhibition, Vladimir Yelchaninov slightly deviated from his rules. For her, he provided his favorite landscapes and still lifes of different years.

The exhibition of the national artist will last three weeks, and his works will be replaced by the works of the honored artist of Russia Evgeny Drozdov.
