If you look closely at the portrait of the Zavolokins family included in the exposition, written by an unknown artist in the first half of the 19th century, you can see that the painter was able to find the main thing that unites this family - their unusual proximity to each other. At this time, similar paintings were available in almost every family.

In some paintings, not only images of ideal family relationships, sometimes artists turned to dramatic moments in family life. The exhibition presents the genre canvas "Fatal Letter", whose author is also unknown. Another canvas, which depicts the family’s gatherings for the ball, on the contrary, causes a smile.
