"Winter.Zima.Zima" at the Kiev National Museum of Russian Art Automatic translate
KIEV. January 12 in Kiev, the opening of the exhibition "Winter.Zima.Zima", which was created as part of the project "The Museum opens funds." 50 canvases created during the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union make up the core of the exposition.
The key theme of each painting is winter. Both well-known and little-known authors share their vision of this time of year. Shishkin, Aivazovsky, Vereshchagin, Meshchersky, Clover, Polenov and many other artists, in their usual manner, plunged into this magical time of the year and preserved their vision for centuries.
Each artist, creating gentle snowy landscapes, was immersed in the diverse nature of winter - sometimes lyrical and fabulous, now stormy, sensual, dangerous! Masters, painting typical winter days, were mostly either in a state of admiration for the sparkling nature, or in contemplative thoughtfulness, to which the cold and silence, wrapped in the snow of the world, disposes.
Recently, the Kiev Museum of Russian Art decided to surpass all records - storerooms are opened literally every month and Ukrainians have the opportunity to see beautiful works of art that have never been exhibited before. The exhibition, dedicated exclusively to winter, will last until February 25. Therefore, all Ukrainians still have a lot of time to compare their idea of winter with that which creative people had at the end of the 19th and most of the 20th century!
