Graceful still lifes and landscapes of Julia Waltzerfer in the ARKA Art Gallery Automatic translate
ST. PETERSBURG. Immediately after the New Year holidays, an exhibition was opened in the ARKA Art Gallery, located in the Palace Square district, inviting art connoisseurs to visit the wonderful world of the talented artist Julia Valcefer. Her country consists of elegant still lifes and landscapes, the air on which is woven from the most delicate shades of silver and pink tones.
The landscape, which depicts birches growing in a small grove near the winter river, field grass covered with a touch of frost - every detail of the artist’s paintings is painted so carefully that they seem like elaborately executed lace patterns. Only sometimes a bright detail flashes in a picture among pastel tones, adding a little celebration to the plot of the work.
Paintings written by Julia Waltzfer are always a celebration, even if they are painted in the most delicate halftones of white and gray. The artist loves to add a little mystery to her canvases, masterly writing a woman’s portrait in a still life of fragrant flowers, and a sophisticated orchid wraps a girlish look with a train.
In the characters of portraits painted by the artist, there is sophistication, aristocracy. Even in a snowy ghostly cat, which is watched from a cozy corner by two furry purring friends, the individuality inherent only to Julia is also visible. The artist often includes elements reminiscent of the ancient era in her paintings, even her son in the portrait resembles a young god on the seashore.
The works of Julia Waltzerfer always cause great interest among visitors to the exhibitions in which they participate, and there are already more than seventy of them in the artist’s creative baggage. Her paintings adorn the expositions of many Russian museums.
The exhibition of paintings in the ARKA Art Gallery will be open until January 30.
