"Tandem" - a creative duet of the artist and sculptor in St. Petersburg Automatic translate
Today, December 6th, in the St. Petersburg exhibition hall Manege, the opening of the Tandem exhibition will take place. In the small hall of the "arena" will be presented the works of a creative duet - artist Yuri Gusev and sculptor Irina Yaroshevich.
Each work that came out of the hands of the famous Petersburg sculptor Irina Yaroshevich has a special appeal, surprisingly combining grotesque and lyrics. The sculptural portraits of famous poets made by Irina Vladimirovna become symbols of creativity and fate. The contemporary work of the sculptor is not a desire to follow the taste of the public, it is constantly being improved, the images embodied by it are becoming more expressive, but Yaroshevich always remains true to his own ideas about aesthetics.
Irina Yaroshevich received her professional art education at the Faculty of Sculpture of the I.E. Repin Leningrad Institute. In 1970, she became a Member of the Union of Artists. Irina’s works are an adornment of the collections of many famous museums.
Yuri Gusev came to professional painting, after graduating from the Mining Institute at the Faculty of Art History of the Repin Institute, where the theme of his diploma was the monuments of the Ancient East. In the stagnant years, he was a member of the Hermitage group, which brought together young artists.
Now Yuri Gusev teaches drawing to students of the Theater Academy of St. Petersburg. He never tires of experimenting in his paintings. Taking as a basis the familiar techniques of artists who worked in the Renaissance, he introduces the vision of a modern artist into them, creating a unique and amazing world of the images written by him.
The works of two masters, two like-minded people, can only be seen until December 16.
