VLADIVOSTOK. The Arka Gallery of Modern Art, with the assistance of the Russkiy Mir Foundation, invites you to visit the unique exhibition “From Asia”, which opened on December 19. At this exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the paintings resulting from the work of eleven artists from Primorye who traveled to work in open air in Asian countries with its amazing landscapes.
An exhibition in which visitors were able to see the landscapes of Tibet, visit the famous Vietnam Nha Trang resort, and examine in detail the streets running through the city of Lijian, located in China. The creation of the works that made up the exposition of the exhibition “From Asia” became possible thanks to the project “Pictures of the Russian World”.
Preparations for the opening of this exhibition began in March, when a group of artists from Primorye began their trip to Asian countries with a trip to the Vietnamese province of Khan Hoa, where she first participated in the Russian-Vietnamese art insert, and then worked in the open air. The results of this work will now be able to see visitors to the exhibition. In August, the journey continued in an expanded format - the group of painters increased to 14 people, and now their path lay in Tibet and the Chinese province of Yunnan.
The result of this trip was 55 works of eleven painters from Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Ussuriysk and even from St. Petersburg. They made up the exposition of the exhibition, striking even the inhabitants of Vladivostok, habitual to the exotic of China. There are quite beautiful landscapes in Primorye, but these are already familiar natural views for painters, but the nature of Asian countries visited by artists has become a real discovery for many of them.
Unique landscapes of Asia are available at the exhibition until January 13th.
