"Melody of color" sounds in the Sochi Museum of Art Automatic translate
SOCHI. A personal exhibition of the young Sochi artist Oksana Sotnikova began to work in the city art museum. In her creative luggage, the exhibition “Melody of Color” became the third exhibition project, but in the hall of the Sochi Museum of Art the works of the young artist will be shown to connoisseurs of painting for the first time.
The exhibition exposition consists of fifty works made by Oksana Sotnikova in various painting techniques. Here you can see her work, made in oil, watercolors and graphics. Constantly experimenting with style, the young artist, who was only 23 years old, is in an active search for her own style.
She plans to further improve the painting technique. The artist herself believes that she still needs to work a lot to improve the skill of painting portraits. It is natural that in some of the works performed by Oksana Sotnikova, the influence of classical artists is visible, but in the work with color on her canvases complete harmony reigns.
The color combinations used by the artist in her paintings create a mood, revitalizes even the landscape, in which gray colors predominate. Among the paintings included in the exhibition, this is clearly visible in the painting “Spring in Saratov”, where a bright house painted in yellow-orange tones gives the spring mood to a gloomy city covered with snow that has not yet melted.
Oksana Sotnikova received an art education in Sochi’s hometown, graduating with honors from the Art School and becoming a worthy representative of the Sochi school of painting. One of the artist’s works at the end of the exhibition, which is open on January 21, will be accepted as a gift by the art museum, where it will occupy a worthy place in the museum’s collection of paintings.
