On November 16, the National Art Museum of Ukraine proudly presented an exhibition of works by students and teachers of the Art Academy, celebrating its 95th anniversary this year.
The exposition was divided into two parts. The largest number of works belong to the hand of prominent graduates who have become famous not only in Ukraine but also in the world. As well as teachers seeking to pass on their vision of academic technology to next generations.
The second composition of the works is represented by the best examples of Ukrainian painting created in the period from 1920 to 2012. Among them, the most striking paintings are such pillars of academic drawing as S.A. Grigoriev, V.M. Kostitsky, K.D. Trokhimenko, P.G. Volokitina, I.N. Shtilman, T.N. Yablonskaya.
The exhibition is interesting for its heterogeneity, unusual accumulation of talents and the ability to “spy” on how great artists are formed. The highlight is that the educational process in each workshop takes place in a very special way, generating its own trends and students’ commitment to a particular technique.
Well, residents of Kiev should visit the exposition, which will last until December 9, if only because it contains beautiful sketches and sketches made at the outdoor plein airs. A century from history, captured by young artists! And thanks to the preserved work, he comes to life literally in front of his eyes and captivates with his fate!
