The first personal exhibition of Muscovite Ilya Kaverznev opened in Lipetsk Automatic translate
On November 15, in the regional art gallery of the city of Lipetsk, the personal exhibition of Ilya Kaverznev, a Moscow artist, whose works were written in the traditional manner of real painting, was opened. The painter works on his canvases for a long time, carefully writing out all the details, so there are not too many works created by Kaverznev.
The exhibition presents about fifty works by the artist - almost everything that Kaverznev found worthy for display to visitors of the exhibition in Lipetsk. Among them are paintings of various genres - portraits, landscapes, still lifes. The principle of Kaverznev’s work is the artist’s desire to make art understandable and accessible to any viewer, so in his works there is no shocking characteristic of many contemporary artists.
Kaverznev writes his works only from nature. The artist’s desire to work with nature once gave rise to a very unusual case in his life. Once, for two weeks, his model in the Pskov monastery was an elderly nun who, during the evening service, served the obedience imposed on her by the abbess. It should be noted that Kaverznev devotes a significant place to the theme of architecture of the Russian church, its ministers, icons, in his work.
The basis of many of the artist’s works are religious plots and historical events. Plein air also takes a lot of time in the creative life of Kaverznev. It is important for the artist to visit a place whose landscape will be depicted on the canvas, travel takes an important place in his life.
Ilya Kaverznev took part in the design of the exhibition, and at its opening, everyone could not only see the artist’s canvases, but also communicate with him personally. The exhibition will wait for connoisseurs of painting in the style of realism until December 15th.
