On November 6, in the Municipal Gallery of the Ukrainian city of Kharkov, a personal exhibition of the young photographer Anatoly Taranenko opened, dedicated to the most problematic psychological issue of our time - human perception of the world.

Until November 17, Kharkiv residents have the opportunity to rethink their attitude to reality, thanks to a series of photographs filled with languishing spirit and subjective assessment of the beholder.

The whole project is a kind of illustration of how the darkness of the soul spreads all around us. As a person, carrying in himself negativity, irritability, longing, hatred, these emotions color everything that comes in his way - people, animals and even nature. A person immersed in depression, even in a corner of divine and virgin pure beauty, will find dirt, imperfection and cannot absorb the healing power of nature!

Assessment of reality is made by each subjectively, so the first part of the photographs shows stories in which we have already managed to bring evil to our own souls. And the second - on the contrary, demonstrates how things really are in nature when we are not there. The world itself is not bad. Often our assessment is poor, perception is distorted. But an eternally displeased person could not be happy even in paradise. Therefore, the most effective means of transforming the world is to change their own point of view on it. The photo exhibition of Anatoly Taranenko recalls this in art form.
