Far Eastern Academy of Arts celebrates its anniversary with an exhibition Automatic translate
In Vladivostok, events began to commemorate the jubilee - the fiftieth anniversary of the Far Eastern Academy of Arts. The Art Department of the Far Eastern State Art Institute accepted its first students at the same time as the opening of the Academy, its graduates celebrated the anniversary with the opening of the first large-scale exhibition of works performed by former students of the Academy over the past fifty years since its foundation.
The place for the exhibition was provided by the Art Floor museum of contemporary art, in the halls of which are now located more than a hundred works of graduates of the academy who studied in its walls since 1962. During this time, their number was 517 people, most of whom continue to work in the field of art, becoming artists, designers, or, continuing the work of their mentors, devoted their lives to the training of future artists.
During the anniversary, former students, including teachers of art schools, teachers, members of the Union of Artists, came to Vladivostok from all over the country. Among the guests of the academy there are even those whose graduation course was the first for this educational institution. Many of them have come a long way with the hope of meeting with their former classmates, but first of all it was the goal of congratulating the Far Eastern State Academy of Arts on its anniversary.
In the exhibition hall of the museum, a self-portrait of Sidor Litvinov, one of the first teachers of the Academy, is next to the picture of the work of his student, and now dean of the Faculty of Art Natalia Popovich. She is the curator of the anniversary exhibition. Recently, Cherkasov, whose work is next to the works of his teachers, scored the first year of students. In one exhibition hall, a link between generations is traced. The exhibition will continue to run until December 18th.
