School of Watercolors from Moscow presents in Vologda the exhibition "Master and Students" Automatic translate

The Vologda Regional Art Gallery invites you to visit a traveling exhibition of the unique project “Master and Students”, the idea of ​​which was developed by Sergey Andriyaka, the head of the Watercolor School in Moscow. This educational institution has been operating in the capital since 1999, at the same time a museum and exhibition complex was opened.

Since the opening of the Watercolor School, Sergei Nikolaevich Andriyaka, as its artistic director, he set the team the main goals for which it was created - transferring experience from old masters to new generations of artists, developing watercolor painting, following the traditions of academic training.

For eight years, exhibitions organized by the School of Watercolors have visited more than a hundred Russian cities, gaining their admirers in each of them. Sergey Andriyaka not only brings exhibitions, but also holds master classes for young artists in most cities, which help to see what a unique teaching methodology is used in the school, to get acquainted with the secrets that help to master some watercolor techniques.

It is worth noting that on the channel "Culture" there was a series of programs through which people could, with the help of People’s Artist Sergei Andriyaka, go through the first steps in learning the art of painting. Filming of lessons took place on the premises of the School of Watercolor.

For Vologda residents this is the second visit of the School exhibition. For the first time such a meeting with the art of watercolor was successfully held in 2009. The exposition of the new exhibition is composed of new works performed in the classical technique of multilayer watercolors. 80 watercolors by Sergey Andriyaka and about a hundred watercolors by the school staff — teachers and students — are represented. The exhibition runs until November 18th.
