"Bird’s milk" for Kiev - personal exhibition of Alexander Korol Automatic translate
On October 30, the opening of a new exhibition of contemporary artist Alexander Korol at the Ya Gallery art center took place. The space of the cultural center is not the first to be confronted with the artist’s work; back in 2011, Kievans could visit his exhibition “God from the Machine”.
Alexander Korol is from Dnepropetrovsk, one of the industrial giants of Ukraine. The city is difficult to rank among the cultural centers of the country, but in the last five years there has been a noticeable jump in the interest of the general public in various types of creativity - fine and theatrical art, poetry, art photography, and folk crafts.
The new exhibition “Bird’s milk” is based on common childhood images for all people. Such classics or articles of clothing familiar to every boy and girl, by imagination, becoming attributes of fairy-tale heroes, in the interpretation of the artist acquire a slightly different, deeper meaning. And they sometimes cause nostalgia, then open old wounds, then make you think about your present and its compliance with pure childhood dreams.
The exhibition includes paintings and sculptural objects of Alexander Korol, both old, suitable for the idea, and new. The exhibition will last several weeks, so visit it as soon as possible.
