Pushkin Museum-Reserve invites you to see magical watercolors Automatic translate
The Mikhailovskoye Museum-Reserve provided an opportunity for its guests to plunge into the fantastic world of romantic dreams of Moscow artist Olga Krestovsky. This is not the first time that Krestovsky’s watercolors have been shown to visitors of the Pushkin Reserve, and the local art school has carefully preserved several works donated by the artist — illustrations for Andersen’s favorite stories.
The new exhibition with its name “Magic Worlds…” fully corresponds to the works presented in its exposition. Delicate watercolors, as if covered by a light misty haze, then calmly bright, represent a selection of different series of lyrical watercolors. They reflected children’s dreams, nostalgia for the world of lost old estates, and ancient Venice, which this year was the theme of a solo exhibition by O. Krestovsky in Moscow.
The Moscow artist has been cooperating with Mikhailovsky Reserve for many years, with the help of his staff an album of reproductions of her paintings and graphic works has been published. Frequent trips to the Pushkin Reserve gave the artist inspiration for the creation of Mikhailovsky Tales, which can be seen at the exhibition next to Italian watercolor motifs.
Having an architectural education, Krestovskaya is not indifferent to the architectural heritage of the country, represented by ancient Russian estates, is a member of the society for their study. Of course, this passion for the artist could not stay away from her work. The worlds of old estates also became images of Olga Krestovsky’s paintings. In a series of works devoted to the Russian estate, there are now more than fifty works, some of them are included in the exhibition. With her work, Olga gives people the opportunity to find themselves in the world of light and romance. This can be done until October 23.
