Belarusian roots of the French school of painting Automatic translate
Employees of the State Art Museum of Belarus have completed preparations for the exhibition “Artists of the Paris School of Belarus”, the opening of which is scheduled for September 22.
It’s no secret that creative people rarely can sit still and constantly need vivid impressions. Traveling for artists is not so much entertainment as an urgent need. The world is so rich in vivid images and unimaginable beauty, which life is not enough to sketch. Many Belarusians who went abroad to explore the world and improve their skills have achieved fame and recognition among European art connoisseurs. Therefore, most of their works immediately fall into private collections and do not become famous in their native country.
The Art Museum decided to rectify this annoying situation by creating an exhibition of the 100 most powerful works of the Belarusian emigration. The painting, graphics and sculptures included in the exhibition show both the Belarusian tradition and the strong influence of the Paris school. Private collectors, who provided works to the museum, greatly appreciate the depth of attitude that can only be transmitted by a person who, by the will of fate, is divorced from his native roots.
Until January 14, 2013, visitors to the Minsk Art Museum will be able to see the world through the eyes of talents from emigration and experience that, despite the distance and the difference in cultures, universal human values remain unchanged!
