Opening of the exhibition Arseny Zhilyaev “Museum of proletarian culture. Industrialization of Bohemia ”, held as part of the III Moscow International Biennale of Young Art at the Tretyakov Gallery, postponed to July 13 (vernissage - July 12)!
Another interesting project was added to the exhibition cycle “The Artist and His Museum” from the Tretyakov Gallery. Creativity is not so much the result of activity as the process of working on a work. Adhering to this point of view, the contemporary artist Arseniy Zhilyaev completed preparatory work on the exhibition, which will soon attract attention in the Crimean shaft.
His special project is reminiscent of museum research, when disparate objects appear from archives, as if from nowhere, demonstrating different aspects of life of past eras. There is only one difference - the artist painfully analyzes the familiar process of the daily work of people of art. Arseny is trying to analyze the life of artists, to see the correlation of the creative process in it, the need for constant self-education, the construction of personal life and relationships with the world.
His “Industrialization of Bohemia” breaks the halo of romance from the life of artists and allows us to understand how hard it is sometimes given to creative work. The project is composed in part from documentary materials and evidence, partly from paintings by Arseny Zhilyaev. You can visit this mini-museum from July 11, until September 9.
