cultural luggage exposition at the National Art Museum of Ukraine Automatic translate
Museum workers around the world are preparing for the professional holiday, which will be held May 18, 2012. Bright and unusual expositions will be on display around the world. Kiev was no exception and, together with the largest Polish cultural centers, will present the exhibition “Cultural Baggage” at the National Art Museum.
The peculiarity of the upcoming exhibition is that with the help of works of contemporary art the influence of the historical past on the formation of the modern cultural space will be demonstrated. The works will be located in 6 exposition and 2 exhibition halls. Ukrainians will be able to fully immerse themselves in Polish culture, represented by outstanding works from the collection of the leading cultural centers of Warsaw - the Center for Contemporary Art “Uyazdovsky Castle” and the National Art Gallery “Zahenta”.
The highlight of these cultural centers is the desire to be not so much repositories of cultural heritage as an artistic bridgehead to create the latest trends in art. The “Uyazdovsky Castle” not only hosts exhibitions, music concerts, poetry meetings and visual theater performances. But even with enviable frequency, workshops on painting, stage skills, and hand-made master classes are held. And Zahent, one of the oldest exhibition salons in Poland, contains the most complete and valuable collection of Polish post-war art. And many magnificent works of world meters of painting - Paul Cezanne, Pablo Picasso, Jeanne Dubuffet, Kazemir Malevich and others. The gallery has a bookstore, scientific conferences, book presentations, meetings with writers and artists, film screenings.
