Architectural Biennale 2012 in Moscow Automatic translate
From May 23 to June 7, the Architecture Festival - Biennale 2012 will be held in Moscow, within the framework of which the 17th ARCH Moscow exhibition of architecture and design will take place, as well as about 50 events with the participation of foreign sculptors, designers and architects.
The theme of the “Identity” in architecture became the leitmotif of the Biennale. According to Bart Goldhorn, for the first time in many years, Russia has something to show the world - a free plan. The peculiarity of identity in architecture is that the construction of buildings is necessary taking into account the specifics of the environment. The more organic the construction to nature, the landscape, the better it will fit into the cultural tradition of the people, and the more it will play a role as a monument.
In addition to demonstrating their achievements, architects will organize a discussion club dedicated to the main theme of the festival. Maxim Atayants, the author of the project “Historicism”, Levon Ayrapetov, who presented his project “Complexity”, Cyril Ass with the project “Simplicity” and other participants, will discuss problematic issues of modern architecture. A significant part of the lectures will be devoted to the environmental situation in the world and ways to improve the manufacturing technology of materials used in construction.
As part of the Biennale, numerous lectures, sightseeing tours, and master classes will be held. Most of the events will be held at the Moscow House of Artists, in the halls of which, as part of the project “Moscow for People”, a miniature park with thematic zones will be created. Any participant can come to the Forum, Children’s or Sports ground, Cinema, Cafe, see the exhibits displayed in the halls of the MDH paintings by Russian artists and take part in various specialized events.
