“Hall of five hundred”, the main hall of the Palazzo Vecchio (Old Palace), in which the Grand People’s Council (ruling meeting of the Italian Republic) met. The frescoes of the walls and ceiling depict the battles and military victories of Florence, as well as scenes from the life of the Grand Duke of Florence and Tuscany – Cosimo I Medici.
