Painter: Ivan Ivanovich Shishkin
The painting was painted in 1861. Shishkin was a true master of landscape, able to find something special in the familiar to all paintings. We see the shore of a quiet lake. In the foreground of the hut of blackened wood. It seems to have grown into the ground and merged with nature. The greenery of the trees and grass is painted to the smallest detail. The artist uses a huge number of shades, allowing to convey the special beauty of a summer day.
Description of the painting "Landscape" by Ivan Shishkin
The painting was painted in 1861.
Shishkin was a true master of landscape, able to find something special in the familiar to all paintings.
We see the shore of a quiet lake. In the foreground of the hut of blackened wood. It seems to have grown into the ground and merged with nature. The greenery of the trees and grass is painted to the smallest detail. The artist uses a huge number of shades, allowing to convey the special beauty of a summer day. Two people are walking along the path to the lake. The viewer can only guess from the silhouettes that they are women.
On the other side of the lake one can see the roofs of a village. Shishkin has chosen the most natural brown tones for them.
The sky is partially covered with clouds, but it doesn’t create a gloomy impression. The sun from within illuminates all the clouds, giving them a soft pink hue. Although the day is not clear, no oppressive impression is created. A very luminous feeling arises in our souls. We feel our closeness to nature and learn to see beauty in the inconspicuous.
Shishkin portrayed an absolutely familiar picture, which he saw every day. It would seem that what is special about it. But in this everyday life, the artist managed to see the special charm of nature, which becomes one with the man. It is important to understand it and feel the incredible harmony.
The painter communicated with nature from an early age and strove to capture it as accurately as possible. His striking landscapes amazed his contemporaries and continue to amaze everyone to this day. He was a true master who painted every detail as clearly and vividly as possible. For him everything is important. The beauty of nature in its entirety.
In the landscape of Shishkin, everything is significant. Every detail sounds new, and warm colors create a great impression. We want so much to be there: on the shore of a majestic quiet lake and take a full breath of clean air.

The picture has something of this: tree, wood, landscape, home, house, outdoors, nature, daylight, light, dawn, sky, water, grass, farm, summer, sunset, rural, building.
Perhaps it’s a painting of a cabin in a wooded area with a lake in the foreground and a house on a hill in the middle of the background.
