Savrasov is one of the great artists of the 19th century. He left invaluable works for our country. The formation of his art fell on the dawn of the landscape genre in Russia. Pioneers are always difficult. One wrong step and you forever forget about you as an artist.
But Savrasov, like Shishkin could not only reflect in their love for native motifs, but also bring it to the viewer. On the subjects of their paintings are written many poems and prose. These artists extolled the beauty of Russian nature and the power of our people’s souls.
The paintings of Savrasov are known to everyone in our country. We know the painting "Rooks have arrived" from the school literature course. The work "Round in the village," the viewer shows the simple village life of the past centuries. Young guys and girls spent their time doing round dances, singing songs, jumping over campfires.
Elderly people sat and cheered at the cheerful guys, remembering their younger years. The clothes of the Russian people were simple, but very beautiful. Every woman’s sundress or man’s caftan was embroidered with handmade patterns. They were all unlike each other. The clothes were modest, but very cute and bright. The girls wove wreaths, and the young men were engaged in woodcarving. Everything in this life was simple and romantic.
Savrasov was filled with love for Russian culture and nature. His paintings warm the soul and make you grieve for the times that are gone without a return. Those times, where there was no aggression, incivility and anger. Savrasov skillfully conveyed the mood on his canvases. His examples in painting made the subject realistic.
Savrasov left us his work so that we can understand how beautiful life was in the Russian countryside.
The painting is in storage at the State Tretyakov Gallery. Moscow.

The picture has something of this: people, group, man, wear, many, woman, war, water, military, vehicle, home, outdoors.
Perhaps it’s a painting of a group of people standing in front of a house with a stream in the foreground and a house on the other side of the painting.
