Heres a description of Michelangelos fresco, The Fall and Expulsion from Garden of Eden:
What you see:
The fresco depicts a pivotal moment from the Book of Genesis. On the left, Adam and Eve are shown by a tree around which a serpent is coiled. Eve, in a seated position, reaches up to take the forbidden fruit from the tree, while Adam, standing, also reaches for it. The serpent has a human-like face, and a figure in a pink tunic, possibly God or an angel, is depicted above and behind Adam and Eve, overseeing the act.
On the right side of the fresco, Adam and Eve are seen being expelled from the Garden. They are depicted nude and in a posture of shame and despair. Adam walks ahead, with his head bowed and arm raised as if to shield himself, while Eve follows, covering her face with her hands. The background is simple, with a hint of rocky terrain and a bland, muted sky.
The figures are rendered in Michelangelos signature style, with muscular bodies and dramatic gestures, conveying a sense of powerful emotion and narrative. The cracked plaster of the fresco itself adds to the sense of age and the weight of the biblical story.
