Почему же "врачей"? В Евангелии говорится о книжниках и ученых людях, а вовсе не о врачах.
Вы правы, это распространённая ошибка перевода. Пусть будет “среди книжников”, так действительно правильнее, спасибо!

To the left, a woman clad in blue and a man with a long beard gesture towards the central figure, seemingly presenting him to the assembled group. Their expressions convey a mixture of pride and perhaps apprehension. The man’s stance, leaning on a staff, suggests age and authority, while the womans hand raised toward Christ indicates introduction or presentation.
The scholars are depicted in varying degrees of engagement. Some lean forward intently, scrutinizing the young figure’s words, while others appear skeptical or dismissive. Their attire – flowing robes, elaborate headdresses – reinforces their status as learned men. The artist has rendered a range of facial expressions, contributing to the sense of intellectual tension and debate.
A small dog lies at the foot of the platform, an unusual detail that introduces a touch of domesticity into this otherwise solemn setting. It is positioned near a scattered scroll, potentially symbolizing the disruption or challenge posed by the young figure’s teachings to established doctrines.
The lighting in the painting is carefully controlled; it highlights the central figure and draws attention to his interaction with the scholars. The background architecture recedes into shadow, creating depth and emphasizing the foreground action. The overall effect is one of restrained drama, suggesting a pivotal moment of intellectual confrontation and nascent authority. The artist’s choice of depicting a youthful Christ amidst learned men speaks to themes of wisdom, challenge to tradition, and the potential for disruption within established hierarchies.
