Who hasn’t had their hand in depicting this most bustling place in Paris, the Boulevard des Capucines. The biggest fans of the place were the French Impressionists, such as Monet, Manet, Degas and others. They painted this boulevard at different times of the year and from different angles. It always turned out differently: then sharply cheerful, then somewhat blurred (painted when it was raining outside the window), and sometimes not understandable at all. Russian painter Korovin also turned out something in the style of the Impressionists, a lot of color and light, a lot of people on the sidewalks and enticing lights of stores and theater stages. Korovin depicted the boulevard at rush hour, just when the whole colorful nation arrives.

And he did it masterfully, in the style of all those Impressionists, working obviously from the hotel windows. He practically does not use bright colors, he has them only in the reflection of the lights in the stores and in the glare on the wet pavement.
The artist was working either in the fall or spring. The important thing is that he was able to convey the spirit of the boulevard, he was able to sincerely tell how nice it is and why it is there most often rest great artists and writers. The explanation is simple: it is there among the crowd, you can find your future heroes and you can weave the plot of the next canvas or novel.
That’s why they gather there. And, of course, the great ones share their experiences with each other. Great doesn’t mean rich. The Boulevard is liberal enough for everyone and not as cruel as life. You just have to snatch your ticket to good fortune in time and keep it with you at all times. Some managed to take advantage of this, and some never managed to go out and became street artists in Montmartre.
There’s still a lot of life here, and there are still people of the creative profession who are lucky now and will be so lucky in the future.

The picture has something of this: architecture, building, people, church, ancient, Gothic, wall, antique, saint, house, retro, home.
Perhaps it’s a painting of a cityscape with a lot of people walking on the street and buildings on the other side of the street at night time.
